Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360 Won't Have a Single Player Campaign
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will not come with the same features as the current-gen versions of the game.
According to the Call of Duty blog, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops III will not have a single player campaign.
“The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware,” Activision posted on the blog.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will still have the full-featured multiplayer mode that includes the momentum-based movement system and Specialist classes. In addition, players will still have access to Shadows of Evil, Black Ops III’s new Zombies mode, which features an adventure inspired by 1940s film-noir.
Activision also noted in the blog that Weapon Paint Shop and the eSports tools for Black Ops III will only be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III launches on November 6. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be available for $50 USD and will include a download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops in some regions.
