PlatinumGames’ upcoming Transformers: Devastation video game appears to be everything that an OG Transformers fan could possibly want. Devastation takes its visual style from the Transformers animated series from the ‘80s and several of the original voice actors have reprised their roles for the game, including Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Dan Gilvezan as Bumblebee, Michael Bell as Sideswipe, Gregg Berger as Grimlock, and the legendary Frank Welker as Megatron and Soundwave.
Here is the video:
The storyline of Transformers: Devastation allows the player to control Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock as they try to rally the Autobots and stop the Decepticons from turning Earth into a new Cybertron.
With the official release date just under two weeks away, PlatinumGames has unleashed a new behind-the-scenes video that offers a taste of what gamers can expect to see in Transformers: Devastation. Among the highlights are the vehicle-to-robot combo attacks, a battle between Bumblebee and an Insecticon, and Optimus Prime’s face-off with Devastator, the combined form of the Constructicons!
The video also reveals that Transformers: Devastation will feature a challenge mode with 50 high-difficulty stand-alone missions. In addition, the game will have five difficulty levels, with Scout being the easiest, and Prime reserved for the hardest of hardcore gamers.
Transformers: Devastation is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 6.
