Life is good!
If you had half a childhood you know Dino-Riders!
"What the hell is Dino-Riders? No, it's not that disturbing but sadly very real thing where people write erotic stories about dinosaurs and sell them on Amazon.
If you're under 30, you've probably never heard of it. Dino-Riders was a short-lived but extremely cool toy line from the now defunct Tyco that featured heroic warriors from an alien world (the Valorians because...good guys) doing battle with villainous alien warriors (the Rulons, which sounds like a cool band name come to think of it) during our own prehistoric age.
As you might have guessed from the title, they rode dinosaurs in order to do it. But they didn't just ride them, they outfitted them with laser cannons and other assorted cool shit. There was even a better than you might expect animated series from Marvel Animation (this, too, was a thing in the late '80s and early 90s).
There's no writer. There's no director. But there are dinosaurs with laser cannons. There are also two producers from Solipist Film, Alissa Phillips and Stephen L'Heureux.
Here's the first episode to refresh your memory. Originally aired January 10, 1988. Includes lots of classic toy commercials from Tyco.
