What to do when you miss out on San Diego Comic Con Tickets!

Are you one of the masses that went to San Diego Comic Con last year and missed out on getting tickets this year or one that missed out last year and still couldn’t get tickets? You’re not the only one! There are a number of long time con-goers and newbies that were shut out of SDCC this year. For you, I have compiled a list of the 5 best things you can do during SDCC if you missed out and 5 other Cons you should do in place of SDCC. Most people know that you can always hang outside the convention center and enjoy some of the great free events. However, over the years they have added some great events you can only get in with tickets. Here’s what you can do: Nerd HQ: What is Nerd HQ? It’s a nerd-hang out where people can go to simply relax, have a cold drink, recharge you electronic devices and enjoy some awesome panels if you were lucky enough to get tickets to those. We love buying Nerd HQ panel tickets because the proceeds go to Operation Smile, a charity for children born with cleft palates.

Geek & Sundry: Actress and fellow nerd, Felicia Day, not only is the main figurehead of G&S but also hosts a great list of events like The Joust, where you can take a photo with a fire-breathing dragon. We’ll let you figure this one out on your own. But G&S offers many panels and trivia games as well.

Adult Swim: Adult Swim is an area where most people tie up there time hanging out, checking out the crazy Adult Swim Fun House. There is also an Alienware area to play some sweet games on the newest gaming PCs.

Gam3rCon: What is Gam3rCon? It is the premier gaming convention in San Diego, bringing gamers and pop culture fans together to celebrate all things gaming. Taking place during SDCC, Gam3rCon features four floors of gaming entertainment, including a Video Game Arena, Tabletop Gaming Lounge, gaming industry panels, live theater, gaming-themed artwork, and rooftop parties.

SHIELDTV Agents Wrap Party: SHIELDTV.net hosts their 3rd annual SDCC Wrap party for fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter. Entry is $25 which includes a swag bag full of SHIELD goodies, plus entry into prize giveaways. Party runs from 5pm-8pm and open to all. So what if you just don’t want to go to San Diego for your nerdy needs? We got you covered. Here’s some other cons throughout the year to check out.
