Tetsuya Nomura, the Director and creative mind behind Kingdom Hearts has finally blessed us with his presence after months of silence, with an all-new screen shot from the newly announced Kingdom Hearts 2.8, a PS4 collection that includes an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
We also gets an HD cinematic video called Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover. Since KH χBack Cover is set before even KH Birth by Sleep, the game that takes place earliest on the KH timeline, this could give us a deeper look into the Key Blade War.
Some details have been revealed from the trailers of the much awaited KH2.8 game such as the foretellers and the traitor they speak of. Comparing the two screenshots of Daybreak Town, the traitor’s actions may have something to do with why the town looks so dark.
We also know that there will be a whole new battle system using cards which we saw in KH: Chain of Memories. Also, this time you will not get Keyblades from each world but will have to gain material to create new never before seen Keyblades. As always there will be an all new story line but don't expect an end upon finishing the game, because Square Enix will be constantly updating the software and adding new story updates to the game
With such a short notice, it appears that Square Enix is not playing around. They did the same thing with the Japanese release of the game in September of last year announcing it only one week before its release.
The wait is over, Ladies and Gentlemen. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is set to release April 7th, 2016 and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will be released sometime in 2016.
