Despite rumors to the contrary, the Nintendo NX system set to release in early 2017 will have physical games, according to a statement GameStop CEO Paul Raines on June 20.
He said that the NX will have physical games – though declined to mention what they’d be – and that GameStop would be selling used copies, easing fears of used protections. Rumors of a download only console started with some reportedly leaked patents. Other people reported that disc games were gone in the form of cartridges. I fully support both cartridges (increased storage and decreased load times) and buying physical copies of games. Do you? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
