Bungie’s president Harold Ryan has stepped down. The board of directors announced that Pete Parsons long-time COO will be the new CEO. Parsons posted the following statement onto the developer’s website.
"I want to personally thank Harold for his friendship, passion, hard work, and dedication in helping make Bungie the great company it is today. As a team, we celebrated many victories and weathered many storms.
To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together. I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise."
This comes after Kotaku reported that claimed the delay of a planned, but unannounced sequel to Destiny was being pushed back from its rumored September date. There currently has been no comment made by Bungie other than the message that was left by their new CEO. This comes after matching making corrections were made to fix lag that has been experienced by players. We do not know the reason why Ryan stepped and will update you as soon as we get more information on this story.
