Ridley Scott to be Honored and New Alien: Covenant Teasers

On November 30th @alienanthology released a set photo from the movie to celebrate Ridley Scott’s Birthday.

 

It was also announced that on February 4th, 2017, Ridley Scott will receive a top honor in the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Director’s Guild of America at their 69th Annual Directors Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

 

The DGA President Paris Barclay spoke highly of Ridley Scott by saying “Masterful in any genre, Ridley’s groundbreaking methods and peerless directing instincts have brought to life some of the most memorable films of our time, capturing the resilience of the human spirit and captivating the hearts and minds of audiences around the world”. Scott was honored with DGA and Academy Award best director nominations for his work on “Black Hawk Down” (2001), “Gladiator” (2000), and “Thelma & Louise” (1991). He received a DGA Award nod for his most recent film, “The Martian” (2015).

 

Also on October 23rd 2016 the @alienanthology released a pretty wicked teaser poster for the movie.

 

Not much news has been revealed about sequel/prequel Alien: Covenant besides talk of a new xenomorph appearing (being referred to as “neomorph”). Stay tuned for updates on the movie.
