Calling all comic book fans!
May 1, 2017, during the television show Gotham, fans will be treated to a sneak peek of Wonder Woman. The film, which will be the next installment in the DC Extended Universe, is directed by Patty Jenkins and will star Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, an Amazon warrior who leaves her homeland to battle a global threat and learn the true potential of her abilities.
Recently the powers that be in the world of television and film have been joining forces to use a vehicle like a TV show to promote a movie. What often takes place is a studio, will turn to the networks for a chance to promote an upcoming project and create a sort of "package deal" that involves the running of a trailer, or maybe a quick behind the scenes video aimed to generate a buzz for whatever is on the horizon, during a commercial of a show relevant to what is being promoted.
In this case, Gotham, the series starring Ben McKenzie as a young Commissioner Gordon, tells the story of a pre-Batman Bruce Wayne and his journey to become the caped crusader. The first episode aired in 2014 and is now on its third season.
Be sure to tune in at 8:00 pm EST tonight (May 1, 2017).
Wonder Woman is set for release on June 2, 2017.
