Deadpool Coming to TV from Donald Glover?

May 11, 2017

Donald Glover has been a busy man. In addition to winning a golden globe for his 2017 series Atlanta, he's been cast in the remake of The Lion King, got a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, AND he's going to be a Young Lando Calrissian. Is there anything else amazing we could add to his resume besides the fact he's also the rapper Childish Gambino?

Yes. Yes we most certainly can.

FXX has decided that Donald Glover should put together a Deadpool Animated Comedy Series with his brother Stephen Glover. If you've seen Atlanta then you know that Donald is a great match for The Merc With A Mouth's 4th wall breaking antics. Need an example? (Editor's Note: MAJOR SPOILERS...) In Episode 8: The Club, we see a crowd of people standing out in front of a night club getting run out BY AN INVISIBLE CAR. Yes, an INVISIBLE CAR. Tell me that doesn't sound like something ripped out of a Deadpool comic?

The show has been ordered for 10 episodes and comes out in 2018, just in time for Deadpool 2. The series is currently untitled and there hasn't been any announcement on who's going to voice The Merc With A Mouth. I for one hope we get Ryan Reynolds, but with Donald Glover behind this if we can't I'm sure he'll have some great choices in mind. Now if you'll excuse me I've got some chimichangas to eat to kill the time till this gem is released.

Do we need more Deadpool? Well, duh. But still... Let Nerdbot know in the comments!
