Zack Snyder has reportedly stepped down from completing post-production work on the Justice League due to a family tragedy. His daughter, Autumn Snyder, unfortunately committed suicide back in March at the age of 20. In a recent interview, Zack Snyder said, "I've decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me."
Joss Whedon has been tapped to shoot a few additional scenes and any other footage needed to complete the Justice League for its November release. The added scenes are merely additional story support, and will be in keeping with the style and tone of the remainder of the film already completed by Mr. Snyder.
We at Nerdbot wish Mr. Snyder and his family the best in this trying time for them. We all understand the power of mental health issues, and hope this tragedy can lead to better things for the Snyder family. Zack Snyder is a well-known family man, having 7 remaining children, 2 of whom are adopted.
