Keiji Inafune Joins Level 5 Studio

Keiji Inafune has joined forces with Professor Layton creator Akihiro Hino to establish a new subsidiary of the Level 5 Studio known as Level 5 Comcept. If the new studio name sounds familiar, it’s because Comcept is the name of the studio that oversaw the releases of Mighty Number 9 and ReCore over this past year.

According to Level 5, the studio opened it’s doors this month in Osaka, Japan with Akihiro and Keiki as CEO and CCO, respectively.

Along with its declaration of establishment came a new IP announcement for Android and iOS called Dragon & Colonies.

No word if the free-to-play app will ever make it to the States but is scheduled to release next year for Japan.
